Instagram has issued an apology after posts supporting #EndSARS on its platform was flagged as “false information.”
Many Nigeria has been complaining following the #EndSars posts were flagged as ‘false information’ and many users took to their respective accounts to react in anger.
According to one user, they received a message that read: “False: The same false information was reviewed in another post by fact-checkers. There may be small differences. Independent fact-checkers say this information has no basis in fact.”

In a statement released on their Twitter page, the social media platform admitted that they incorrectly flagged down posts in support of #EndSARS and apologized to Nigerians for the error.
The statement read: “Yesterday our systems were incorrectly flagging content in support of #EndSARS, and marking posts as false. We are deeply sorry for this. The issue has now been resolved, and we apologize for letting our community down in such a time of need.”

However, many Nigerians are not pleased with the apology, Some users said that their action was intentional.
